What the Business Profile API lets a scheduler publish

Posts are created for a location: an account can hold many locations and each post belongs to one of them. A post has a summary, a topic type (standard, event, offer or alert), an optional photo and an optional button. An event carries a title with a start and an end, and an offer adds its terms.

Google reviews every post

After a post is published Google checks it against its content policy. Live means it shows on Search and Maps. Pending means it is still uploading or processing, or the profile is unverified. Not approved means it broke a policy, and the status says which one.

Google may also remove a post with contact details it cannot verify, and suggests a Call now button instead, which uses the profile’s verified phone number.

Access is by application

These APIs are not open to every project. A new Google Cloud project has a quota of 0 requests a minute until Google approves an application for Basic API Access, and approval sets it to 300 a minute. Edits to a profile’s business information are capped separately, at 10 a minute for each profile.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I manage multiple locations?

At launch, each location counts as one channel on your plan. Google’s API attaches every post to one location, so a post for five branches is five posts.

How will my AI agent post to Google Business Profile through Postnavo?

Once Postnavo launches, you connect your agent and ask for a weekly update, an offer or an event for each location. The posts are scheduled next to your social posts, and Google still reviews each one against its content policy after it is published.

Can Google Business Profile posts be scheduled without a tool?

Yes. Google’s own editor has a “Schedule this post” switch and a “Repeats” menu for weekly, monthly or custom recurring posts.

Why is my Google Business Profile post pending or not approved?

Google reviews every post against its content policy. Pending means the post is still uploading or processing, or the profile is unverified; Not approved means it broke a policy, and the status shows which one.
